LINES OF TRAVEL is ON!!!
Comments(0) Lines of Travel started this morning on the first day of CONFLUX 2008. I was very excited to see how people were going to react when we stop them on the streets. Personally, I usually don’t stop for anybody because I always want to get to my destination. Thankfully West Village residents and commuters were more graceful and patient than me, and stop to find about the project.
A total of 15 persons got their own custom map and will be exploring the city. THANK YOU!!! for participating on this project.
It was interesting to see how people reacted to us, some didn’t acknowledge our present, some just say ’sorry’ or ‘no thanks’, or some just gave us dirty looks…it’s just understandable, they were commuting to work or school, and probably late. We were the last thing they wanted to find on the street. But, some had enough time to stop for a couple of minutes, get their maps and commit to a new route. I hope they follow through and discover the city. In the mean time, we’re preparing for the 2nd place this afternoon, Christopher St and 7th Ave. My forecast is pretty good for this area, Thursday and the bars are open! I expect to get busy drawing commutes by Sheridan Square. I should probably wear something more appropriate for the occasion, right?
